Just But a Number

Listen, Miss Universe,

Let your ears swallow my words

And again, talk of the numbers not

Mine heart is sick, for you my inner man cries

Let’s crucify age on the cross

Nothing it is, but a number

Desiring your breath is mine soul

Lips of mine for your touch

In my mind we sleep, groins snuggled into each other

The same in love, we are

We feel it, like twins

Defeated are numbers of age

Very deceiving eyes are

Look in the sky, nothing beyond

Darling, about to again freedom

Are eyes of the heart and the mind

See mine age not

Let your eyes feel, these lovely objects see

Like two calabash pieces, we fit together

Beat in unison our hearts, don’t you feel?

Age we have divorced, you stupid number!
